FUE method is the latest and most developed technique of hair transplant that is being performed since 1800s. It was addressed as a new hair transplant method in one of the articles of Dr. Bernstein in 2002. In this method, hair follicles are removed individually, therefore there is not any scar left in the donor area.

At first, FUE method was utilized to cover previous FUT scars. However, through time it was understood that with FUE method, extracted follicle amount was 2-3 times more comparing to FUT. Besides, in FUE method, special devices called micro punch with diameters of 0,5-0,9mm are utilized that allow us to extract not only single but also multiple grafts which helps providing a natural and dense result. For these reasons, majority of hair transplant physicians are currently performing FUE method.

In order to extract the hair follicles, donor area should be shaved off to 1mm. After shaving, local anesthesia is applied to the donor area.
